The Home Repair Program administered by the Housing Authority of Jackson County offers zero percent (0%) interest deferred payment loans to low-income homeowners to address necessary home repairs and alleviate unsafe, or unsanitary living conditions throughout the Southern Oregon Region.
The Program helps to promote safe, decent and affordable housing by focusing on repairs that target deferred maintenance issues, weatherization, energy savings and hazardous living conditions.
The loans are based on the amount of equity in the home or property and are due and payable upon the sale or transfer of the benefited property. The funding for these home repair loans comes primarily from grants funded by HUD. Funding is also received by the repayments of these loans that are returned to be used to provide more housing rehabilitation assistance for the Southern Oregon Region.
