Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Landlords
Without the great landlords we have in Southern Oregon the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program would not be the success it is today. Over 1800 families with vouchers are enjoying decent, safe and sanitary housing that they can afford and over 650 landlords are enjoying the benefits that come from being an HCV Landlord.
Interested in becoming an HCV Landlord? This Landlord’s Guide to the HCV Program provides an overview of how the program works. If you still have questions please contact the staff listed in the guide and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Some important documents to become familiar with if you are an HCV landlord are:
- · Housing Assistance Payment Contract
- · Request for Tenancy Approval
- · Request for Inspection
- · Frequent Fail Items
Quarterly, the HAJC produces a newsletter for its landlords. Recent editions can be found here.
Advertising and locating property has never been easier!
The Housing Authority has partnered with www.Gosection8.com , which provides an enhanced program to list rental properties on line. Listings are available to potential Housing Choice Voucher tenants seeking apartment units, duplexes, single-family homes or townhomes in the private market.
Landlords add your rental property
Please note that all properties listed before 2011 on the Jackson County Housing Authority web site must be re-listed and property owners must re-register each property in order to begin listing rental units on the new system.
It is recommended that Landlords add pictures to their listing for better advertising and faster lease up!
